In most cases, changes cannot be made less than 60 days before travel.

Handicap Certificate: Most courses require visitors to be a member of a recognized golf club and to hold official handicaps, with some courses imposing a maximum handicap restriction. InterGolf Vacations endorses this viewpoint and recommends that players travel with a valid handicap certificate from their golf club which they may be required to produce.

Muirfield: Please note that as Scotland's most exclusive club, they require visitors to abide by certain rules and requirements. Ladies are not permitted in the main areas of the clubhouse. To enter the dining room, gentlemen must wear a coat and tie. We also ask that you play golf in the format you have been advised by InterGolf Vacations. Please do not attempt to alter arrangements at Muirfield on the day of play. Please note that for those playing 36 holes, the afternoon round will be played using an alternate shot format (foursomes). We ask you to respect the rules and traditions of Muirfield so that visitors for years to come may enjoy the course.

Visitors must be members of a recognized golf club and carry handicaps not greater than 18 for men and 24 for ladies. Muirfield shall also require each golfer to submit a copy of their Handicap Certificate Card prior to play. Please note that a Letter of Introduction will NOT be accepted in place of a Handicap Certificate Card from a recognized golf club. Additionally, play is limited to those named at the time of the booking. The substitution of one member of the group due to a bona fide cancellation may be considered by Muirfield but is subject to their approval and to the forfeiture of deposit paid for the cancelled player.

Portable GPS Navigator: GPS systems are available for hire through National Car Rental at most major rental branches. Please check with your Agent for rates and locations.

Western Gailes: This is a private male club and while ladies are most welcome to play the course, it is a tough test for all but the most accomplished lady golfers. Please note that a soup and sandwich lunch in the clubhouse is included in your green fee on weekdays and is taken in the main dining room. Lunch not included for Saturday or Sunday play. Dress code for the dining room is appropriate golfing attire. Please note for weekend play visitors should not turn up at the club more than 30mins prior to their starting time.
